- I want to promote homebirth on my page, will this still work for me?Yes, it can! The Unmedicated Academy curriculum does focus on the hospital birth, but it could still be a good fit for a home birth mom who wants to be prepared in the case of a transfer. We have had many home birth moms take the program and they are able to apply what they learn on physiologic birth, coping skills, partner support, etc. And if it’s not a good fit for your home birth audience, I know that many moms who want a homebirth are still having a hospital birth. 98% of births are happening in the hospital, so the program meets moms where they are now. You can promote home birth and still provide a support option for moms having a hospital birth. This is also a great way for doulas who only attend home births to still offer support to their hospital birth inquiries.
- What do the Q&A support sessions look like as an Ambassador?I run my Academy Mom group inside a private FB group. I post a question thread every wednesday and go live every Thursday to answer their questions (usually 20 minutes), that’s it! I also provide them two days a month where they can book a 1:1 with me (this rarely happens). I also like to do a group chat on IG by their guess date month. You get to choose how you want to support your clients. It can be on zoom, live in a FB group, a group chat or scheduled 1:1s.
